My name is Simon Podgoršek and I live in Kamnik, Slovenia. I am a photographer mostly interested in studio and concert photography, but I picture other staff too.
For my work I mostly use DSRL camera, but sometimes I also use film or some other cameras. I own a studio with studio flashes, light modifiers, backgrounds and props and other necessary tools.
Short biography:
My interests in photography started around 2003 when I went on a travel around Europe with my friend. At the same time I also started doing concert reports from festivals and concerts in Slovenia and all around Europe for a biggest Slovenian metal music webzine Paranoid. Two year later I bought my first DSLR camera with which over next several years my hobby start becoming a way of life. I become a member of Photo club Kamnik and started taking part in national and international photo exhibitions (I also got the title first class photographer from Slovenian photography association - F1 FZS). In mid 2006 I started selling photos with agency iStockphoto and in the same I started doing some studio photography. Sometimes I also develop photos in a darkroom and I also do underwater and astro photography. In 2007 I entered and next year graduated on Polish private Photography Academy in Warsaw. In year 2008/2009 we got the first academy for photography in Slovenia which I will be attending next two years - IAM. In 2008 I also started my own company called AAR STUDIO.
In last few years I documented over 400 concerts performances, pictured over 100 models in studio and several other staff too. Here you can see Chronological list of accepted, exhibited and awarded photographs on national and international exhibitions.
